College Board Hash Marks?
 

I just read this on-line about the NCAA football rule change of 1993:

1993--Hash marks moved 6'8" closer to center of field to 60' from each
sideline.

So, does that mean that PRIOR to 1993, hash-marks were 53' 4" in from each sideline?

That's quite a bit wider than the pro NFL hash-marks, right?

They are still wider - but used to be even more as indicated.
