1 Attachment(s)
The MFCA is excited to announce our second online painting customizing contest.

The rules are slightly different from Contest 1 so please read them over. If you have any questions, feel free to post them here.

Prizes for the winners will include a MPFL DVD, custom figures, tweaked bases, custom field cover for a 620, $25 cash in each catagory and more.

There will be 3 contests each year. Spring, Winter and the annual live event at the MFCA Convention.

THE RULES

Two categories

Scene - Two or more figures depicting a football scene. (For example: sacking a QB, catching an INT, gang tackling a runner) The figures in the scene category do not need to be on bases but must be on a field. The figures must interact. In other words, they can't just be standing their looking at each other or at the camera.

Single Pose - One figure on one base on a field in any realistic position
  • You must be a MFCA member to enter.
  • All figures must resemble a realistic football player based on a real or fictional team (No monsters, superheroes, sumos etc).
  • Any production or self molded figure or combination of figures parts can be used.
  • Any extras such as chinstraps, facemasks, towels, hand made parts can be added.
  • Figure must be a finished product i.e. painted and detailed and ready to go on the field.
  • Figure may be manipulated in any way as long as they conform to real bodily proportions.
  • 3 quality (high resolution-use your best camera setting) photos of the figure from 3 different angles are required for entry. All photos are to be submitted by email to weirdwolf@weirdwolf.net by no later than midnight CST March 30th. DO NOT POST THEM YOURSELF. Self posted photos will not be accepted. Blurry and/or distorted photos will not be accepted.
  • The figure must be a new custom! No previously displayed photos from online forums or websites will be accepted.
  • The figure must be created, painted and decaled by you! We have no way of checking this so you will be on your honor.
  • Each coach may enter 2 customs. One in each category or both in one category.
Voting will take place starting April 2 and will end April 16. To vote, you need not be a MFCA member but must be a registered member of the MFCA forum. Only one vote per forum member in each category.

Maybe we should have an "Owners" catagory. I am not opposed to this idea. Submissions would involve two or more coaches involvement in the creation of the piece.
What do you guys think? There is still time to add this as a catagory.

I know when I use to paint for wargaming competitions you didn't have to be the one who created it. You just had to credit all who were involved in its creation. It was the Owners catagory. (Kind of like Snyder trying to buy a Superbowl when he first took ownership of the Redskins...:D )

I'm in for the owners section

I have all these awesome figures, but I did crap to make them, just paid for it! That should count for something. Let me know if I can add my custom guys that I paid for (Snyder) to the mix!!!!!!!!!!!
