Tudor Model 500
How many of you have a vintage model 500 board? What do you mostly use it for playing or tweaking?
I was thinking of picking one up just for it's size to use in tweaking. Anyone else doing this? |
Bump
Same question... I have seen the Buzzball tweaking videos on Youtube, they have used 500 models, so they must vibrate well, right? I'm thinking of grabbing one, I have a good opportunity, and might play some 7 vs. 7 or something on it if it's a consistent board.

Display
I have one I keep for display. It's not in mint condition, but it looks good. I keep it out of the light. The vibration on those boards is incredible because of its compact size and its thickness. The guage of the metal is not too thin. Therefore, the board doesn't sag in the middle.

i have a 500 board and it runs gr8..one of my best fields...but with that being said, since i run on mostly metal fields it works out good for me...but when i tweek players on that board then switch to say.. a vinyl field cover i notice a difference in performance. it might just be me..but try it and see what ya think

Many coaches complain about certain boards in our league. I don't because my teams are prepared to perform, more or less, anywhere. That what the "5 hundy" does for me. My team sees my home field on game day and with a slight adjustment, based on the type of board, tilt, warp, whatever, then I coach them. I may say a field is crappy, but I never use it as a reason for a loss. Just my humble opinion. thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ thmbsp$ |
