Creating the J E T S - JETS! JETS! JETS! JETS!!!

I have been given the task of creating the 1968-69 World Champion Jets for one of my customers. This is a very interesting scenario for me because he wants the whole works! He wants the poses to look like the actual stars of the team plus he want them to perform like the geat Jet team of that era.

This will be a very magical moment for me as I will create the offensive unit first and then the defensive team. What I will do is pull pics from players of other teams if I think it captures the right look that I want. For example, maybe Jim Otto 2-handed snap or Jack Radnay's snap for the Chiefs or even Mick Tinglehoff's of the Vikings.

I will create the linemen to have range. I think linemen who arms are spaced apart in a pass blocking mode allows for the QB to have a longer time to get rid of the ball. To me, linemen who arms go straight ahead is vulnerable to insie rushes which cause sacks up the middle.

The tackles will hve range a well. They will be mirror images of each other. I call them "Bookend" tackles because one leads with his left foot and the other leads with his right foot. On the right base, he makes one nasty athlete!

A second line, called the "Elephant Line" will be created. These will be all 3-point stance linemen which main goal is to power the other team in the running game.

Te coach must have the ability to change lines on the fly. In the Shootout Rules System, you must b quick and decisive in creating offensive packages as you are always under the clock. It's high stakes, high pressure, and a lot of fun.
The tightend pose will be smooth. He will be high stepping and have his arm not extended. This will allow him to get off he line when placed on an arrow bse.

The runners, Matt Sell and Emerson Boozer will be taken straight from some pics I have of each one. While you want them to look good, it is always more preferably to have functionality.

The QB, Joe Namath, will have two poses. One for under center and one for standing in the pocket. I have several images to work with to get the pose I want.

The receivers, Don Maynard and George Sauer will be taken exactly from pics I found online. These pics look good but they are very function. I expect Maynard to have a big season in his new league and Sauer will stretch the defense as well.

On wooden game boards like the 308 Series Game Board, these players will be lethal. Usually, that translate to the same results on metal. But with the right combination of bases and coaching, this team shouldbe vying for a championship trophy soon.

We will talk about the Defense later. I have some very interesting plyers to show you!

Hey! I did my own all 60's Jets!

Reg:

If you're needin' some help or research, let me know. I have a team like this in the works for my all-time AFL collection.

For the defense, Gerry Philbin would need to be a beast.

So would the entire Jet secondary.

See ya!lffng$
