Hybrids multiply your figure count by hundreds

I know I am not the first hobbyists to Hybrid a figure,But I will claim to be the cat to put a title on the technique. When I first started doing them I realized ok This could get interesting, The First one i did was a Howie Long but when I base tested him and he ran zone to zone in like flash speed I was in, plus it was cool to combine Two different figures and really try to capture what I like to Call the Flash Bulb Moment when you just nail it! Hey Electric Coach remember when you said my Figs looked just for show, Hmmmmm Naw man Im just clowning, somtimes it takes time for Some to what your really Bringing to the table, Im hyped to see cats doing it now with every type of figure produced. And it adds to your figure count tremendously make Five or ten a week man you can build a team. Hybrids alive and well that makes me feel Good.

Stay Blessed

Showcase Poses

Biglock,

I never “dissed” any figures of yours or anyone else’s. There was a time when I saw a Dallas Cowboy Randy White figure in the four point stance. Given the type of pose it was in, I said that the figure would look good as a showcase figure.

Poses like the one I just mentioned are the type of poses that I would have mounted in a small glass case, which I would use for display at hobby trade shows or for decoration on a sports mantle.

In regards to game play, I prefer most of my figures to be in a running or an attacking type of pose. From my perspective, those types of poses can be used in a game or as a showcase figure.

Refer to my earlier thread entitled, “On Their Way To Becoming Colts” or “My Customize Idea”. These are my examples of attacking and running poses.

Next, refer to Biglock’s thread entitled, “Jigsaw Custom Figures, Don’t Throw Figure Pieces Away, Save Them”. There you will see another example that I am talking about. The figure is in an attacking pose although it’s set waiting on the snap count.

Basically, my opinion is that figures in the three or four point stance are showcase figures.

Reggie Figs

Got some coming soon - arriving any day now - can't wait to work with them and create a few custom figs for use in the BAM!

My 2 cents...

My only criterion for judging a figure is performance. How it does on the field is all that counts to me. If a 3 or 4-point stance figure does the job it was designed to do, he then gets playing time. If a running or attacking type pose doesn't do what it's created to do, (even if it looks great visually) I'll try to modify it or toss that sucker in the trash with a quickness. I'm not a collector and I don't own a showcase for figures; they had better be able to play... period!!!

BTW... I like hybrids too.

Peace,

Oldschool

Hold On There Don......

I got a self address stamped box you can use as a trash can. You dont like a figure you created and want to throw him away, throw him in my box. when it gets full and you want to take the trash out, drop that joint at your local post office and send to my landfill. :rtfl:

as Jimbo said once - "one mans garbage is another mans treasure".

What Just Happened?

Old School,

As I said before, I am not "dissing" anyone's figures. I like what you do. Your Cowboys are tremendous. I was only stating what my preference is. I wasn't suggesting that you put your players in a case for display. Calm down.

Here are some of my hybrids. Man, I really like to customize. I got to start painting these up into my NFL teams. I hope to bring a bunch of custom figures down to SWB with me. Big plans...so little time. This is a great hobby!

I See Something

Joe,

I like those offensive linemen. There are some poses there that have caught my eye. I am going to create something off of your ideas.
