hypothetical league rules

if there were a local, college league whos rules offered an incentive based rule-set, would you be interested? here's how it would work:

a very basic ruleset would be the starting point. any base touch tackle, no stacking, no turn-n-burn, qb must start as ttqb only, no boat bases, etc. once a player would reach a "milestone" during a season, his status would be upgraded and would be marked with a colored dot sticker on top of the platform, for everyone to see. the status would roll over into next season, but not the necessary stats, and the players would return to the original status after the end of 4 seasons. the milestones would be something like this:

rb's: 250 yards rushing=fob tackle first 10 yards, abt after 10 yards; 1000 yards rushing=fob tackle only
wr's/te's: 250 yards receiving=ability to use turn-n-burn; 1000 yards receiving=abilty to use a boat base
qb's: 25 completions=ability to use passing sticks as well as the ttqb; 50 completions= automatic completions within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage
o-linemen: 2 straight games without a sack=ability to lineup without gaps in between; 5 straight games without a sack=ability to pivot before the snap without additional pivots from the defense
d-line: 10 sacks/tfl= ability to use a boat base; 35 sacks/tfl= automatic fumble man
linebackers/safeties:10 sacks/tfl=ability to stack; 35 sacks/tfl=automatic fumbleman

i couldn't think of anything for cb's yet.
again, this is hypothetical, just seeing if a league that is formatted like this would be of any interest to anyone.
vote if you like, comment if you wish, but whatever you do, please be honest.thmbsp$

Wowsers!

THAT is thinking outside of the box! I like it.

not sure about the incentive

i got a little confused over you formula, but it sounds intesting enough.

Interesting

Looks like a very neat idea to add to a league. Rewards outstanding "players".

if you are asking why, i was brainstorming about how to give a league a college type atmosphere on the board/field. only a small percentage of college athletes get to move on to the professional level where the playing field is a little more even. when you are a gamebreaker in college athletics, you really stand out.
also, the list of incentives were loosely based on rules already installed in the mid-ohio league, if we were going to do this college thing i don't want the rules and feel of the games to be exactly the same, but i also don't want them to be too outlandish.

Very clever idea, it would be especially great for solitaire and college keeper leagues (or playing with my son). I'm guessing competitive leagues may frown on this as it increases complexity and "gaminess". Heck I just like the idea as a fun way to give each team some big time "game breakers". It would be fun to combine this idea with the added element of injury to your game (similar to the shootout box rules). Anyways, thanks for sharing the idea.
