TDQ Custom

1 Attachment(s)
Someone was going to do it eventually. I tried it just to see how it would integrate with other figures and I can safely say that it is a seemless bond with the Buzzball figure I used and I have no doubt that it will work with a FF.com figure or miggle Bigman. I can't wait to detail it in Chiefs colors and facemask.

I basically removed the arm, the head and from the waist down of the TDQ (kept the torso and right arm intact in one piece)and replaced those parts with the Buzzball figure. The TDQ is great as it is but I just had to see if it could be done.

Another unexpected plus to the arrangement is the forward lean of this one makes for a perfect no tilt (base flat on the field) 20 yard pass. I actually have to tilt up slightly for longer passes.

This may not be exceptable for everyone but I love the fact that you can take the torso and right arm and make all kinds of unique QB's for your teams. maybe even create different QB's for different scenarios. Who know's but let the imagination roll.

If you don't have a TDQ, you will want one. It is a great QB in more ways then just its passing ability.

ppls$ that's awesome! did you just use superglue at the waist, or did you re-enforce it with a pin?

Yep!

Ya might wanna pin it. The torque might snap him at his waist. Of course if that happens while being sacked, THAT WOULD BE WAY COOL!!!!!!!! ppls$

I accidently snapped the non-throwing arm off of mine trying to bend it forward, and ended up using a Fab5 Stiff Arm to replace it. thmbsp$

I drilled it and cut a nail to fit in between for extra suppost and then glued it with liquid nails.

So, you went on and did it anyway. It looks good. Keep us posted as to how well it holds up under pressure.

With the new lean, there is no difference with the passing other then an adjustment to the angle that I would normally tip the QB up. For 20 yarders, I now set him flush on the field. For anything longer, I just adjust the angle of the ball or the position of the ball. I am still experimenting but for future use, I believe you could build QB's to throw 10 yarders while standing flush with the field for a West Coast style offense or by further adjusting the lean, set up QB's for specific distances or offensive styles. Of course you can always for-go all of this and just use it as designed but if you enjoy the customizing aspect, you will discover many more possibilities.
