I'm sorry I could not attend today. I thought for sure I was going to be able to get off work. Anyway, please let me know how everything went and don't leave anything out. Thanks.

The final four was ,
Chris Fields vs . Matt Culp
Jim Davis vs . John Martin
I know the results but would like someone that was there for the final game to do a recap.

Never mind, just look 2 posts down. Wolf gave the results.
I would like to thank everyone that attended and everyone that helped run the 2008 Arch city tournament . It took everyone to chip in and help out , it could not have been done without everyone helping out.
Congratulations to the champ Chris Fields ! frstplc Chris made me take my painting to the next level and he is the standard that I try to emmulate . Yes you are a master sculpter :rtfl: { sorry inside joke }
Congrats to Jim Davis , he is a class act and a true Raider .
John, I cannot believe this is your first time playing in all of these years , you are a force to dealt with.
It was nice to see Steve Martin, John Martin , Will Shropshire, and it was great to finally meet Matt Culp , who has to be the biggest Cowboy fan ever , sorry doomsday and dallcow4life. Matt we have to do this again , I had a blast and did not even play ! The skills competition was better than I would have thought . I should have entered more events .
Big thanks to Dewayne Jennings for taking up the slack and running the show when I could not be there. If you ever want anything to finish off your team, from custom figures, chinstraps, facemasks and alot of things to be announced later , see Dewayne. You could not find someone that is more dedicated to taking this hobby into the future.
One more thing there could not be a greater group of guys than the ones that showed up today , the efl community is like a big family and my local league is like brothers to me and everyone else is like my favorite cousins !
Frank and AJ , you guys were missed and it was not complete without you 2. You better be at the next one ! :D

oh yeah, before i forget, you guys should have seen john martin's strength competition entry for the weighted division pick up my lineman and carry him, over his head, and throw him down, both times! my guy weighs 3.9, errrr, i mean 3.5.:D

Sorry guys I missed this post and entered elsewhere. I had a great time, lots of fun and couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday. Thanks to all who were involved in putting this together, I just showed up, ate and played and ate again.... Thx Chris, 3.9, whew no wonder my guy couldn't block Big Jim Davis' guys in the semi final game, he was spent. Jim's as strong as they come, his "D" was punishing my lineman, and getting to my skill players repeatedly, I really couldn't get my "O" on point. The final was a game to watch, kinda funny after Matt had been there all day and knew he had a 5 hr drive ahead of him, suddenly got up and said he had to leave, with like 3 plays left in the game (Matt I won't give the reason), with Big Jim driving down the field down 6 - 0. Here he thought halftime was nearing instead of the end of the game, man Matt you would have been p.o. to have missed the end of that game. Anyhow thanks all for a great time.
