Hhmmm!

Pic # 1 - Run the RB off tackle or a swing pass to him out in the flats behind the 2 WR's. Could work for good yardage based on defensive setup.

Pic # 2 - Pitch to trailing back to the outside. Need to see other defenders alignment outside of picture but it looks like the percentage of this O-formation working is low. To many defenders to account for. Now if you turned the RB the other direction for a counter play then it could work.

Great stuff coach!

Coach K-LO 10-21-2008 10:15 AM

good stuff, but not yet

keep looking..... you can see the breakdown of the schemes in both pictures

one is offense and one is defense....both turned into big plays of the game.

any more beore we post up the answers??

well, the first picture has one on one coverage to the strong side, with all of the safety help going towards the weakside-2 receivers. i would try and get that receiver open and pass to him downfield, he could break it without any safety help back there.
the second one looks like a run attempt, but the olb and the safeties have the rb's keyed in and are in good position to stop the run. if i were on offense on that play, i would try to pass to the tight end #84, he has 1 on 1 coverage wjth the safety, there is a possibiltity of a mismatch and the tight end getting open in the end zone.

.

Pic 1 - hit running back in the flat on the right (defenders have over pursued).

Pic 2 - Defense won, guessing LB on offense's left came around the corner.

The offensive play in #1 looks like a disaster as it is set. I think the receiver on the far right will be turned in and bring the corner with him. The receiver in the slot has a guy running with him in coverage. If the running back can make a wide arc to the right sideline area, that would be a big play as that zone will be empty. Another option is to audible and run to the left.....the odds look good there.
