Tweaking traits

OK guys, we talk about tweaking for strength and tweaking for speed, but those who have played the game a lot may have some other key attributes that they look for to make the "athlete" (base + figure) a star. Other than pure speed or strength what traits do you look for in a base?

I'll start...I look for bases on my O-line that aren't just strong but "Sticky" by that I mean even if they get pushed back they regularly keep the defender engaged and in front of them.

Bases' Personality

Among my bases I look for consistency. Each of my offensive linemen must be able to move left, right, and straight ahead on command each time that I require them to do so. If the base can’t perform those tasks, it may end up playing another position such as linebacker.

okay, I will play.......

first, the thing I look for before the real tweaking begins is "what does this base do?" - I will give every base a starting point after it gets tested right out of the bag.
Next, for a rookie base (miggle, dark green DBL Clips) I will slightly pull all prongs to make them just a little longer and retest.
After that, you will see some if the natural direction of the base. This is wehere bases get the most work (tweaking wise). I don't try to make a looper a RB. I let the base decide where it will be placed. if the base has a arc that is perfect for a looper then it will get the "special" treatment to make it a playmaker off the edge.
the main thing for me is that all players can run down the field when called on. that is before strenth and speed get defined.
