How long did it take you to decal them?

The Decaling of this team was easy

I do decals in 3 phases:

Phase 1: Mass General applications
I do the numbers, helmets, pant stripes first. This is the phase you see in these pictures. For this phase, it usually takes about 1-2 hours for 22 players. This is based on having all decals cut out and knowing the figures. If you talk the language and know the various poses, it becomes very easy to recognize what patches and decals go with whom.

Phase 2: Secondary decals such as shoe logos, patches, etc.

Phase 3: Touch-up/Quality Assurance
This is where Rose and I take an indepth look at each figure and critique the quality and make any changes.

Phase 4: Modge Podge Phase - sealant phase that I always use towards the end of a customer project.

Phase 5: Clear-coat Testors 1261 phase. Sealant and hardening phase.

I have a customizing guide for customizing, painting, and decaling figures. Did you not get that handbook?

of the process. I've got to put the shoe decals, logos, etc on miscellaneous areas.

When I get to the last phase of decaling, I will QC everything and try to make it look real.

Nice paint work and custom poses. I have to admit you never cease to amaze me with the custom work. I have a question though, who is MLB #55?

#55 maybe...
 

I would never speak for Coach Rutledge, but I hope it's Lee Roy Jordan, awesome but small linebacker of the late 1960s into the 1970s, including starting MLB on Super Bowl VI champion Cowboys. Could also be current stud and former Miami Dolphin great Zach Thomas.

LeRoy Jordan from the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Jordan was the centerpiece of Doomsday 1. He had great range, instinct, and character. I did this pose like this to show Greg Hardmon the Lambert-type figure. I originally was gonna paint this team into Steelers but decided to go with the Boys. The figures looked too good to me but now, I can always change the Singletary pose by adding extra padding, changing the arms and bending him lower to create the "Nasty" MLB look.
