I play the following

3-3-5, meaning: 3 DL..2 loopers...1 strong LB...2 CB...2 safeties.. and 1 roving player which can be audibled to adjust to offensive audibles.

As you can see on the front line of defense I play 3 downlineman.2 loopers. 2 cornerbacks.. another CB to cover the slot reciever(8 defenders on line of scrimmage)..1 roving LB..2 safties. the roving LB can be adjusted to offset offensive audibles. This defense is what works for me. FYI- Your 3 downlineman need to be STRONG. Hope this helps.

PS: Word of advice, try to always play 2 safties!! if your opponent swings backs out in the flat, move them up and cover a zone about 5 yards off the line of scrimmage.
