AN EF GUIDE BOOK
WOLF,
This is an excellent idea. Are you saying small pamphlets or something like that. New comers would like tohave a small instruction book to read as they are sitting at a table with there ef equipment. There are people who do like the olders avenues of communication that were popular before the internet.
I think coaches would chip in to see this project through. In the long run, it's or the good of the hoby and everyone else. A perfect example is, when burgess put out the MPFL VIDEO as a learning tool. Many still asked him for the small book he put out with his first video. I have it and keep it in my bag to study from time to time. An explanation on weights and other equipment in a book form would do wonders. I guess it could be part of tghe new members packet.
Another example is we talk about warhammer painting here on this site until we were blue in the face. I still went down to games workshop and paid $30 for the book. The book shows you things that cant be explained online.
It's nice to have something to refer to for information instead of coming online. Burgess said practice his style while watching the dvd. I do that but i use the book also. This way i dont have to cut on the tv/dvd player at times.
Simple instruction on what to use too add weight, where to buy it. etc etc.
I wish we know the specific size of a paticular nutt or bolt that fit perfectly under a base. This way a new comer can walk into home depot or any harderware store and ask for that products item #. he wont have to look long and hard and become frustrated. For instance, this nutt/bolt weighs this much when placed under a rookie base that weighs that much.
A small book would get a new comer to hit the ground running alot faster.
Knowing, in our hobby, he is meeting the standards for whatever weight class he chooses
