We allow the coaches to paint the purple bases, orange bases, or whatever other bases you have. However, some coaches think that one color over another will give them an advantage. From that perspective, my thinking is whatever makes you feel you can win, use them.
But me personally, I have always saw the base and field as one item blended together.

Of course new colors are simply a marketing strategy to get us to buy more.. I always do.. I don't care.. I like having the new colors..
Personally... I think excluding a base, based on the color.. is ridiculous..
To be honest.. And I realize that George is a competitor for the almighty EF dollar.. But I've got some Speed Diamond bases that I'm not playing without on my team.. And I'm not painting them either.
