Prices?
I have been afraid for a while that I offended people with pricing. Last year I offered to take on commisions, but almost no one took me up on it after I sent them prices.
I have been fortunate to do a few for some really great people, and I thank those guys.
I am not going to be a vendor, and am only painting for myself and friends, so I feel I can ask this question in fairness: what do you feel is a fair price for figures, both custom and standard, with sculpting, and painting, also, how much extra for details such as chin straps, facemasks, etc. I want to know what people who buy/collect think is fair, as well as what the customizers and painters want to get for thier efforts. Be rediculous even, as I think the balance of all the perspectives is important.
I have looked at what people charge for different services, both on here and watching ebay. I think I have a decent idea who the consitent guys are to go to for custom work. I personally try to be frugal, and always look for a deal, but I also respect that quality takes time, both in the particular project and also the time to become skilled to a level of ability. And, trust and consistency count for alot too.
