for a beginner like me, using TTQb or passing stick take the same amount of time

And for what I saw on league games videos these days, I can honestly say that playing with passing sticks is sometimes even faster than using TTQB.
the better way to speed up the passing stick use is to not allow some things like turn and burns or offense receiver pivots (on my own experiment, it's the point of rule I don't like in passing sticks) , etc...
another thing I like with passing sticks is that you never have to touch any offense figure. Just turn on the board, let develop the game, turn it off, designate your receiver (instantly, 2secs max, in our ruleset), put the ball marker on the field, lets the defense make pivots to intercept/tackle and turn the board on again. That's it.

i like to keep the game of miniature football on a coaching point of view.
