"Sources Said"
that he was retiring. All he actualy said was he was considering it. But we all know that he does that constantly. The media wanted to make this into a story.
I know he procrastinates his decisions (as long as possible), and that he definitely hurt his credibility when he actually did retire (twice). But, I think a part of those were political to get out of the situations he was in. Not that it was the right way to handle things, but I would bet there is alot more behind the scenes we don't know about.
I have been a Favre fan since he was first drafted. I wish he had finished his career in Green Bay, but I am more a fan of his than the Packers. Every year I rank the teams from those I like the most to the least, and I was a little surprised how much my ranking of the Vikings and Packers actually changed when he made that move.
I do wish that if he is going to play he would show up for training camp. I think it would help how he is percieved and his legacy alot. I think missing it on purpose sets a bad example for players/younger people. That is one thing I don't like at all. However, I guess if he can get away with missing it, and he still performs the way he did last year, then who can blame him.
I keep hoping he could retire with another Super bowl win, but I have a fear that it will end up being a decisive injury that puts this all to rest.
I guess we will just have to wait and see for the next month or so.
