i was playing a league game a few years back against a division rival,it was 4th down and 3 yds to go and he ran a off tackle play ,my strong safety which was on a clear speed base and didnt posses much strength at all hit him about 1 yd short of his first down and his runner was on a ttc base and he said he made it but my speed base pshed him back a yd,after telling him he was crazy , and didnt feel much like argueing i gave in and went on to lose the game on probably that lone contraversial play as i was up 14-7 late in the 4th qtr. and would have had the ball deep in his territory, everytime i think about that i cringe .but thats football.
