"old-school" figures....
Mark,
Not a bad idea to be quite honest.I can only
imagine how many of us have painted over
teams that would be collectors items today.
As a kid,I had no idea what was what as far
as the figures went so I had no problems at all
painting over a team.I wonder how many "treasures"
I ruined......LOL Kids will be kids,but hey,alot of
us never knew that the figures we were painting
over might be worth something one day.
I know back in 2000 I went to the Miggle Conv.
in Wash DC on Saturday for about 4-5 hrs.I took
all of my original teams ( 6-8) that I hadn't painted over and
sold them....dirt-cheap as I found out awhile later.
But I had no idea. The guys that bought them knew
though, you can bet your *** on that. I got-got,as they
say.No biggie.I was able to buy the rest of the new-
stamped helmet teams to complete my solitaire league
so I was happy.
Who would have thought that those little men with those
terrible paint jobs( they looked great back then) would be
collectors items today..........Not me........
