EXACTLY.... Alan... we found the same here in Tornado Alley League as well as this past April at the Mid America Melee. Sticks are for beginners or maybe better stated it gives the new coach a "fast start". This allows the new coach to have a passing game immediately. BUT stick passing is not a weapon that will beat a profiecent passer throwing to the figure.
