CEFL STARTS 30TH. SEASON
The Charlotte Electric Football League in Rochester NY begins it's 30th year on October 13. The league started play in 1981 with 6 players in the basement of John DiCarlo's ( Larue's) house,which came to be known as Subterranean Stadium which features a 46 inch scoreboard and game clock,closed circuit video of each game, a concession stand and a complete stock of any and all Electric Football equipment which is available to it's members. Counting regular season play,playoffs,tournaments and exhibitions there have bee over 1000 games played in the stadium.The league has 12 members and plays on Wednesday nights with games at 6 and 7:30.We use several different game boards (all at least 46 x 24).
If I wrote down every crazy and fun thing that has taken place in these past years it would be the size of a phone book,It has been a wonderful 30 years and I would do it all again..........but I am running out of time.
