Hey Lindy, a pass directly to a standstill receiver is not realistic in minature football. Actually a pass to a receiver with the board running would be the most acurate and realistic, but this is not really plausible. The passing stick method is more accurate, but what do you need for more realism in a TTQB pass. You need to call pass and designate a receiver on a board stoppage. You then need to turn the board on again to simulate the pass route with defensive reaction, by either an on board timer or a stick placed for receiver route. This would time the route for the pass which would not be more than a second. This would allow defenders to react to the direction of the pass and allow a receiver to move to a point of reception on the run. The board would be stopped a second time and the pass would be thrown. This is a really great way to play. I wish more coaches would experiment with this system because it presents a wonderfully exciting creative style of passing. I have seen many games of minature football where and expert passer simply passes every play until he hits his receiver who 95% of the time is wide open for either a TD or big gain. This most certainly occurs from bullet passes to a standstill receiver with no built in defender reaction. Why even attempt to run the ball when the odds are in your favor to hit a big pass on every possession.
