Default I forgot about...

Jeff Kinney (35) Tailback. He played in the 71 game. He was a fantastic back who averaged over 100 yards rushing.

I was watching that game back then. I was just 10 years old but I fell in love with that Cornhusker team. Jeff Kinney and Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers were my favorite players. That team was pretty young too.

There were a few more I may not have mentioned but were pretty outstanding on that team.

Rich Glover, my favorite defensive lineman. John Dutton, who would play for the Cowboys and Jerry Mertaugh was a 3 year starter. Back then, freshmen could not play with upperclassmen.

I think Rich Glover had about 23 tackles that day, something that still stands out to me. I say that because he was a D-Lineman playing against the wishbone schemes of Fairbanks.

IM Hipp was another good one who came later but Kinney is who started the great run at tailback and then others would follow.

Also, I am not sure if I included Broderick Thomas at NU.
