I will create various dice for all different situations.

two box cases will be used. i for the offense and 1 for the defense.
These dice will be the offensive and defensive coordinators at work
This is how the plays are called and the players reaction.
1 20 die will be used to show all the various drops into coverage by the lineman to the safties.

1 die will be used for pass plays only

4 wide shot gun
bunch left under center
2 te's 1 back
swing pass left
quick out right
slot wr post

etc etc.

The game will flow nicely if you set up before hand.
