Here is my real complaint though and this goes across the board to a lot of members. Photography!
Try to always shoot them on a field and here is what I suggest.
- Shoot outdoors when possible under light consistent shade
- Shoot on a field, but not just any field. Get an old non-playing one that you don't mind doing this too or an old field cover and spray it with a light coat of dull cote to take away the shine. Use an old Tudor crowd scene (dull coat) if you have one as the backdrop.
- OR take a piece of poster board, dull side facing the camera and curve it like a skateboarders 1/4 pipe. Shoot the man on this. This will give the figure a real professional look with a no seam background. Experiment with light blue, gray, black or other color poster board as well.
- Take one picture from farther away. Close-ups often reveal more than we want to see. Most figures look their best when we hold them in our hand and we can't see the little imperfections that the camera ALWAYS picks up.
- Lastly-pet peeve of mine-have them on a base. It reminds the non informed that this is Miniature Electric Football.
