Pass Defence
Shutting down a passing offense .
Well the first thing you must understand is the elements of the passing game.
Offense: Pass protection, defense coverage, open receiver, pass accuracy, receiver making the catch.
Defense: Pass rush, Pass coverage, reaction of the defenders on the ball.
Pressure vs Accuracy
No matter how accurate the QB is, if he has no time to throw the ball then his accuracy means nothing. Element of actual football
If the offense has the time, then the receivers must get open, but if the coverage is on point then once again the QB accuracy means nothing. Elements of actual football
If the receiver get open and the QB throws the ball and the defense is in the right type of coverage, then while the ball is in the air the defender has a right to the ball while the ball is in the air. Elements of actual football
The way one plays has a important part in the passing game.
Stopping the board to throw a pass, or to avoid a sack eliminates elements of actual football. It voids the proper execution of the pass rush, good pass coverage, and prevents the defenders right to make a play on the ball.
When the fuction of the game play is not balanced then it hutrs all areas of the game of football.
But if the focus is on the use of a prop then everything else gets voided out due to the game being played around a prop vs the game playing like the game should.
The MPFL is the answer to any and all passing question and contains all the elements of the actual game off football.
