Settle down....my toy comment in the other thread was a compliment to your system.
The game is a toy. Plastic parts, plastic figures, metal game board....it's a toy. HOWEVER, your effort in this system and the effort of many others in this hobby is to take the "toy" out of the game....which was my point. That is what has made the hobby come back so strong. And in your specific case you have added certain rules to the way you play to make it play less like a toy and more like a simulation.
HOWEVER...at the end of the day, it's still plastic figures vibrating on a game board.
My comment about restrictions is simple: You can't simulate EVERYTHING. In other words, you can't make miniature football players that think for themselves or have mental breakdowns or physical injuries. It's impossible to make a 100% simulation.
My compliment to you is that you make it as close as it can get.....but you're still limited because the "players" are still plastic figures (which many would call "toys")!!!
Perfect example: Your 3 stop philosophy adds realism...but what happens after the 3rd stop? You let the "toy" take over. In one play example on the DVD, you have a player that changes directions and splits tackle during the 3 stops...BUT after the 3rd stop he breaks into the clear and is running free with 60 yards left for the TD. What happens? He runs out of bounds at the 7 yd line and NONE of the defensive players are chasing him. Is that how football is played? Is that 100% simulated realism?
See what I mean?
You've added a TON of realism and should be commended for making it a simulation but you can't take 100% of the "toy" out of the toy.
Sorry if that offends you...it's just a fact.
