Ask anyone that's played my BUCS...Derrick Brooks can get 50yds downfield in my Tampa 2 just like he does in real life. Or he can jump the Flat in front of any RB and take it to the house. Or he can break the RB in half on an outside run. Just like REAL life!
Or, more recently, people run away from my Urlacher, but he is ALWAYS in the play. Ask Michigan Joe's dynamic duo, Reggie Bush and Deuce McAllister. Actually, Urlacher just made the last play, whereas Lance Briggs and Hunter Hillenmeyer cleaned house all day long. Hey! That happens in REAL life! Briggs and Hillenmeyer make plays all day long and Urlacher makes the last big play and he's the hero!?!?!?!?!
Unlike MOST coaches/players, I play a REAL defense, NOT a 10-1 jam-it-in-your-arse one-layer D with a Safety or LB stacked behind the NT. I play a 4-3 Tampa 2 with my BUCS; a 4-3 Base with my ILLINI and BEARS (Cover 2 sucked in the SB vs. Manning obviously!?!?!); and then a 3-4 Base with my BENGALS and WILDCATS.
I have 3-4 layers at ALL times except GL where real estate is scarce. My solution to that is to not let them inside my 20.
Great post. Pick a team and I'll draw up a signature scheme for ya, Dre. O and D. But.....PICK ONE TEAM!!!
