I've got Directv NFL Ticket and I was watching that game too when that happened.
I'm not a Ravens or Browns fan. I'm a die hard Vikings' fan.
Anyway, when I saw it happen live, I did tell Nathan (my 9 year old son) that I thought it hit the back part, the bracket part of the goal post, and I was honestly not sure what the rule was when I saw that happen. I've never seen anything like that before.
But I said, "I think it's just like soccer or hockey, once the ball or puck goes over that line, even though it may come back out, it's still a goal"
The part that I dont like is that, the ruling on the field was NO GOOD. And they said that this type of play is NOT reversible by replay.
The two back line judges clearly signaled NO GOOD, and the players started walking off the field, Romeo Crennell looked like he was going to cry.
Then all of a sudden, they said, wait a minute, they are going to review it.
Wait a second, the announcers just said that a play like that is NOT reveiwable.
And yet they did review it
Well, if that is the case then the Ravens got ripped off. :o
