I don't have any problem with the number of bowl games. As long as teams are .500 or better, and can get a month of practice, a good experience for the kids that work hard all season on the field and in the classroom, and the coaches are wise enough to take that experience as a head start for next season, there's nothing wrong with it.

Hawaii has often played in its own bowl game. It's nothing new.

And in terms of New Mexico, who would go watch them anywhere else? No comment there on how good they are, but they don't draw. You can put UNM in the Liberty Bowl and expect that bowl to do well.
