Road to Superbowl VI
Cardinals 23
49Ers 14
Simmie (Cardinals) has had great success in the playoffs in the past (3-time runner-up), but has yet to win it all. I spoke to Coach Lassiter after the game about ther game and his future. He states the key to the game will be stopping the run (good luck.....). He was optimistic and up-beat, and why not, after facing both Ken and Jamel (Last year's NFC championship game)
to advance to the Superbowl. He announced today his intent to move to Detroit following this game where he will assume coach and g.m. duties for the Lions.
Raiders 21
Steelers 7
Raider Nation marches on as the ground war continues for the wild-card Raidedrs. Although Coach Davis has won the Ann Arbor Championship (eventually became the Great Lakes), and a Akron title. He has yet to win the Great Lakes. I spoke with him following his game versus Pittsburgh. He was pleased with his efforts on defense. His game plan remains the same: "Just Win Baby".
SUPERBOWL VI
This year's game promises to be a great game and a great event for our league with lights, sound and action. The grounds crew has been working hard to up-grade the current facilities and add some new ones. The game will feature state of the art stadium and for the first time ever in the Great Lakes, a jumbo-tron video screen that will provide entertainment and coverage for the coaches and spectators.
Stay tuned throughout the week for continuous coverage on The Countdown to Superbowl VI, sponsored in part, by Treks1 (Steve Martin) and the Great Lakes Electric Football League.
