Default Relative To Each Tweaker

Good topic! IMHO I would say that each different type of base, or maybe different bases within the same bunch can be viewed as rookie athletes from different colleges. Some have outstanding speed, others strength and others a decent combination. Some bases out of the bag are gems, while duds can be turned into diamonds.

So to answer your question, almost every base can be coached. It just depends on if YOU can coach THAT base!?!

Everyone gets caught up on making EVERY base a HULK. How well do they play together? How well would they play if they weren't bunched together? What if they had to play with TTC base-width gaps? Then what? Would they "scrum" down the field if they had to play 1 on 1 with their counterparts? Can they block their guy AND pickup the LBs shooting the gaps? Maybe. Maybe not. THAT'S FOOTBALL! THAT'S why they play the game. Strongest Man means squat. Larry Allen can Bench Press 250lbs 50-something times and IS the NFL's Strongest Man hands down. How did his TEAM do last season? Makes ya go hmmmmmmmmm, doesn't it? Same holds true for the lil plastic guys.

Look at Michigan vs. Appalachian State (Sorry Joe!). A balanced and well-coached team trumps size, strength and arrogance ALL DAY LONG!!!
