I get them that way from repeated squeezing, you are not going to get there in one squeeze. Plus I also found that when squeezing two prongs at once, you may have trouble getting an equal squeeze on them both, if one prong is slightly thicker than the other the squeezing force you apply will change that thicker prong more so than the thinner prong in the double set when squeezing two at once. Get some pliers with thinner, smooth jaws that are capable of squeezing one prong at a time in a double set, works good for me.
There are guys who break Craftsman pliers on a regular basis just from
squeezing them.
I am not a master tweaker, but I am just telling you what works for me. I am sure you wil get your fair share of replies on this one.
