My 2 cents...
The great thing about electric football these days is that the great tweakers are sharing their knowledge and what they have learned about tweaking with the entire electric football community.
I spoke to Jim Davis on the phone and he told me that the stuff he tweaks for others is just as strong as the stuff that he has on his teams. What's great about this is that he is sacrificing bullying his opponents for the welfare of the game.
With this being said Vince, Jim is a great tweaker. Arguably the best in all the land. However, because he is willing to share what he has learned with the masses when he play he still has to coach in order to win! I'm sure he wouldn't want it any other way.
I'm one to admit that I can't tweak bases but I can put together a championship team using what my hard earned money has purchased and out coach the best of them. The unique thing about this game is that it does have a strategic side to it that must be explored if all things are equal.
I remember growing up playing a game on Nintendo call "Double Dribble". I had discovered a secret that allowed me to shoot 3 pointers from almost anywhere on the court. I dominated my family members and friends. It took very little coaching and strategy to win. However, once I showed a few people how the trick worked, I was no longer the dominant force I once was. I had to now out coach them to victory. This taught me a valuable lesson. You're only as good as the people around you. I was not as good as I thought I was when I had the secret but I got better when everone else around me got better because I had to now play smarter and be more creative. Sharing creates parity and competition. Maybe some of us need the help of others to develop the talents on our teams as do coaches of the NBA, NFL, & MLB need the help of strength trainers and assistants to develop their players. However, once those players are developed the coach is the one who impliments the game plan, strategies, and ploys to utilize that talent in a way that helps his team win. So just because you tweak bases for someone or someone needs your help tweaking bases doesn't make you the better coach, it does however make you an excellent trainer.
R.J. may lose to you Vince. Reg may have also lost to you. Heck I've lost on several occasions but the greats are the ones that fall and are able to rise again.
You tweakers are great! We love you and thank you for your shared knowledge in the hobby. Without your help all the trophies would probably be in Norbs & Jim's house. Lol
So lets stop the arguing and line'em up!
