Here is what I am talking about. Coaching and Tweaking.
The league I joined this year allows stacking. I had never played that style before. Initially - I tried counter stacking on offense. It didn't work as well for me. So I developed the strength of my bases - worked better bases for the linemen. Then I worked with my WR's and RB's to develop certain skills and characteristics - which then led to an offensive scheme. Last game of the season I beat a perennial champ who had beaten me by 3 TD's earlier in the season. Took time - and will take more.
That is what I enjoy - working the players and developing a style of play - a system that has lots of possibilities and options to work with.
