These figures will be very easy to paint over since they don't have clearcoat. The numbers are pad printed on so a little white paint over the numbers follwed up by decal numbers and clearcoat and you got yourself a team from a different year. The key to turning these into miniature football teams is getting them balanced on platforms. I selected FF.net platforms because I new I would need weight low in the base to balance these figures out. After cutting the figure off the given casted football, I ran the cut section over sandpaper in order to get a nice flat (and maximized) area to glue. By filing the on sandpaper I was also able to incrementally change the angle of the cut so that when placed on a new platform the figure would stand in a balanced position. After glueing into place I followed it up by glueing a little fillet of glue around the shoe to add more strength.
