Good question...
Dre! In the DFW our passers are highly skilled. Passing techniques become strategic and in some cases can be the difference between a player going out of bounds or taking it to the house.
The question was do we aim for the base or torso? If he is headed out of bounds and we want to turn him up field, we obviously aim for the base. If a defender is near and the base angle is cut off then the torso is obviously the better and safer option. In some cases when there is no angle our guys are skilled enough to hit the figure on the head. After a bit of practice it's easy to figure how far to tilt the QB. You begin to understand the distance and velocity you need to throw with after hours, days, months and years of practice.
