I wish...
that everyone would take the questions that one post seriously instead of making a mockery of that person and making jokes. If you feel like the question is old news then don't respond. There are a few people who were not around when those posts where going on as well as the new additions to the hobby who are becoming acclimated and would like to know as well.
Drew the best thing that I can tell you is to find a league in which allows the things that you are looking for. If you are looking for a league that allows ff.net figures and higher weight limits then that is where you go. It seems that you have found that and we are grateful to have you my friend.
The good thing is that leagues are like ice cream. There are a lot of different flavors. Why ask why all flavors of ice cream don't have a splash of chocolate in them? It's not because they are afraid of mixing a bit of chocolate in everything. It's more becuase there are different strokes for different folks. Variety is good. Everyone doesn't like chocolate just as everyone doesn't enjoy 4.0. 3.2 is what's natural about the hobby. Some just like to line'em up and play. They don't want to get into the technical aspect of the weights and figures. In some cases it does take the fun out of it. Look at what the magnet weights have done to our league. Natural keeps it pure fun and that is what some people enjoy.
Now you can make the arguement that some leagues are doing it intentionally to ban ff.net figs but if they are I don't care. It's not my battle to fight. I love ff.net figures and that's all that matters to me. Spending time trying to figure out why one doesn't is a waste of time. Now as for me personally, I love the technical part of the game. The weight limit gets me into a totally different area of the hobby like balancing figures, creating custom figures, playing at higher speeds, etc. But this is not what everyone is interested in and that is absolutely ok by me.
