TTC base is probably the best choice
The dial is the secret ingredient....defenses can't key on which way he'll be going from 1 play to the next. Good TTC bases on 2 backs can be very effective.
Any base would work, but I'd recommend a widetop or a tornadoalley efs base tweaked for speed. Geno has some really good ones, and I'm sure Norbert, Jim Davis, or any other great tweakers can find some somewhere.
Rookie bases are nice for speed around an end, but a good defensive coach can very quickly pick up on which back runs what way, and can snuff out running plays. I have a bunch of running backs on rookies and platoon them in on plays depending on the down/distance situations.
