I must say I was fired up again when the Vikings wore that throwback uni the game before this last one! That was a super looking uniform.
I was so mad at Lombardi for quitting the Packers after Super Bowl II that I picked a new favorite team for 1969--it was the Minnesota Vikings! I remained a Viking fan all the way through 1972 and rooted for the Vikes in the 73 Super Bowl against the Dolphins.
It was really cool in 1969 when the Vikings were not only the first team I ever ordered from Tudor (even though they were blue! LOL!), but they also won my Super Bowl that year. Of course, all they had to do was beat out the Colts and Packers, since those were the only teams I had at the time.
