playing for a pass in the air........
a WR and covering DB are playing the ball in the air.
They are next to each other , but the DB is about a 3/4 of a base length in front (ahead) of the wr. if the pass placement ball is placed directly in front of the WR, the DB's only chance of making a play is to run past it first, therebye making it an incomplete pass. in this scenario, the DB cannot make a pic with out crossing in front of the WR, which would then be pass interference if they touched. is this correct?
also, offensive pass interference........
if a rb is open in the flat, but a wr is unintentionally slanting (lets say) toward the OLB, i cannot pass this ball to the rb because there will PI on the wr who will pick the OLB upon starting the game board?
