Default Using Charts

I am thinking about starting to use charts, but I am wondering what is the best way to do it. I have been using a random draw out of a pile of cards with plays on them, and it works ok... but one thing that I am noticing is that this leads to my "opponent" doing some REALLY bone head plays.

I am thinking about making some situational charts: 2 or 3 for each down (short, middle, and long distance). I figure this way the play will be more appropriate to the situation.

I would like some help on this because I am not sure how to set up an appropriate mix of run and pass for each down?

I see that clmdesigns is making some really nice charts (maybe some help?)

thanks
