It's great that you guys are reliving your glory days and fantasies on the football field! More power to yah! I grew up in the 70's when the "JUICE" was running loose! The Colts (home team), Steelers, Raiders,Cowboys ,Vikings were dominating the grid iron! Pop Warner, rec leagues and public school leagues were the big time for the moment! However, the BIG GAMES didn't start until Ridgewood Ave played Oakford Ave. in the Snow just after Thanksgiving! ParkHeights played Towanda in the SunBowl, or any day we kids came out to play each other one on one! No Coaches trying to proclaim their claim to fame on us kids! We did our own thing! We knew when to rush the QB. When to sit and wait for the pick. When to have the guts to run up the middle on the bigger kids! Yeh , that's right BOY! No GUTS no GLORY! We would even dive for the touchdown pass on the cement. I love this game and regardless of what I was taught, it's nothing like running up the middle and driving on a chump! It's to bad my team doesn't execute the execution of excellence like I use too! Thanks Smitty! I just figured out what my problem is? I'm not scared and I'm willing to try anything repetively!( ch.sp.)
I should be playing to win! Oh well, at least I look good doing what I do! I'm a champion already and nobody can take my childhood away! Big ups to the boys from POLY, Pimlico, Parkheights, Ridgewood, Oakford, Penhurst, and all of the other homies now serving time, dead or out of my realm of exsistance! It's a wonderful life!
