Default I'd like to respond...

This is a very interesting post. Here is why. I thought that Jimbo, Reg and RD all made great points and I'm to the point now that if this situation arises again I will just hand over a win. Here is why...

This post sounds like it was generated for me. So let me tell the story...I had a game with Jim Davis from the Great Lakes. Fabulous coach and an even better guy I might add. He does a great job rubbing feet also! haha...Anyhow, the guys from the great lakes are some of the best if not the best tweakers in all the land. They play the game at super hyper speed. If you are not in the Great Lakes league and you haven't seen them play you probably can't give an accurate assessment on this and once you have perhaps your opinion will change.

I have been labeled as a guy who cries a lot. Apparently I will do anything to win. I've been told this a lot by many and perhaps I have to check myself and just play the game. However, if a coach plays me and several of my guys are falling over and he wins and he is happy with that win then isn't it the same thing? Isn't it then true that he will do anything to win? Even play a coach with all of his men laying down. What fun is that for either coach.

Mozeek...you're right, I have been playing 4.0 for years but never in all those years have I played on a board at the speed of Jim Davis board. Contrary to your belief I love speed. You ask anyone in the DFW or around the US that has seen my team, they are built for speed. Also contrary to your belief ITZ dials perform fine on fast boards as long as the figure thats standing on it is balanced. Jim's board was so fast that my players bounced at the start of the set. I not only had my ITZ players falling over, I had my skilled players falling over as well. I was told that I had sorry bases. Let me tell you this...All of the bases ever created were designed to perform on vibrating boards. They all perform (some better than others) with the right figure and balance. Therefore, I should be allowed to use any of those bases. I'll have you know that I didn't even use my ITZ dials during the game against JIM. Once my skilled players stayed on their feet, I was ready to go. Calling me a cop out, or saying that I used this as a ploy to win is unfair but it's your opinion and I respect it but call me after you play Jim on his board. Dealing with figures falling down on EVERY play isn't football Mo.

I went to the SWB last year and had no complaints. I had a small dispute with Tom Johnson about a call but that was it. Other than that I played with the speed just fine and took my but whippin. It was a whole lot of fun.

Jim's board also had a hump in it. Not once did I complain about that. I missed out on 2 touchdowns because of it. I had 2 players going in for a score who either got to it and turned out or fell over at that point. Both drives I didn't score. That was his home field advantage! I never complained of this.

The within reason comment was the most reasonable I've read. Jimbo made a good point that the visiting team should have no say and I agree but tweak the board a bit until there are no figures falling over just as Jimbo and Geno stated.

There is a lot of post on this but the general consesus seems to be the same. Not very many seem to agree with playing with figures falling over.
