Reggie
No disrespect is intended by my post Reggie. I love what you do for the hobby and enjoy the CBSMF. I hope that continues. A pro league sounds cool, but I worry about all that licensing crud and hate giving the NFL any chance to rain on any EF parade. I know I won't have the time for another league as demanding as the CBSMF.....I barely have enough time to make myself competitive now. So...for me, the CBSMF will probably stay my only "big event" kind of league. I hope it keeps going in one form or another!
The idea I am proposing would probably be best for a low-key, less intense scheduling format....maybe limit teams to a smaller number of players (maybe 32 players?). Each coach keeps his own stats. If we don't have integrity, we have nothing. Just report scores to a league commish and they get posted for all to see. Perhaps put weight limits on different player categories, or limit a team to a certain number of players in each weight class...coach decides where to play them. All base types allowed, even frankenstein and boiled....but limits on numbers of each type. The smaller rosters would be less time-consuming to manage and create, but the various weight categories, base limits and the small rosters would make it challenging and interesting for even the most experienced coaches. What do you think?
