Tell him I said hi Ken...here is a story for you. When I met him at he 2004 Miggle Convention, I was immediately aware of how nice this guy was. He was very friendly and we made a electric football connection immediately...and as a result...I wanted a Kistner field as soon as I could get one. Two months later he called me and asked for my address so he could ship it to me. Well...I was not taking any chances with the mail system delivering such a precious cargo. My wedding anniversary was coming up...so I told him to hang on to it and I would arrange something.
Well...I told my wife..."hey honey, I think we should drive over to Springfield, Illinois for our anniversary trip this year". My wife had no idea that we were driving over to pick up a Kistner board. She figured it out when we pulled into Mark's driveway.
Long story short...we hung out there for some of the afternoon, I did take my wife out to eat, mostly because she was going to be riding in the back seat making sure the board did not get damaged (the vehicle was full from our shopping trip to the Springfield Mall). To this day, she still brings up the anniversary trip to Springfield. That board and her have a special bond. Now a days, I have to give her a complete itinerary of our anniversary trips...
Thus the legend of the Kistner board continues....
