I think it's a height thing with the NFL. The rational of seeing over linemen and getting the ball up without it being swatted down.

Personally, I agree with you. When the Saints had Jeff Blake, not the prototype QB as he was not quite 6', although he was listed as that. As QB in the early 2000s under Haslett he had a gun, a presence of mind on the field, and a passion for the game, unlike his antecessor Aaron Brooks. Brooks after taking over for Blake after he was injured against Oakland looked like the total package. Tall, big, strong, and an arm. He had an arm, but that's it. He had no leadership ability, was arrogant, no presence of mind on the field being easily rattled, he relied on his feet which defenses figured out quickly after his first season, had poor technique passing constantly throwing off his backfoot relying on totally on arm strength, and was not a team player ie refused throw a long pass with 1 play left in the half as it would affect his completion to attempts ratio.
