Ok, I know everybody has their views about this new proposed football league, but I for one would welcome an alternative to the No Fun League er, NFL.

Come on guys, the NFL has slowly been taking away football from the fans. First it was the multiple relocation of teams in the 90's, then ripping Monday Night Football off ABC, and on a smaller scale, ripping us from purchasing NFL teams from Miggle. The NFL is all about business - corporate business. I mean almost all the stadiums are named after a Corporate sponsor.

It's matter of time before the NFL puts the Super Bowl on pay-per-view and charges us "the fans" some $60 just to watch the big game. Oh, yeah the NFL is trying to trademark the slogan "The Big Game". Go figure!!

This new proposed football league has to have its main focus on giving back to the fans. The league should have reasonable prices for tickets & have accesibility to the players. It should be "A Fan's League".

To say that guys like Mark Cuban, who is really a successful businessman, is wasting money on this league is like saying that nobody should ever come up w/ new ideas for entertainment. Have you guys ever watched Mixed Martial Arts (aka Ultimate Fighting)? MMA as its known has taken off in this decade and now probably is as popular as boxing. The guys who created MMA probably had an idea it would be successful.

So if the UFL is marketed correctly, I can see it being successful. I don't know about the UFL going to a fall schedule against the NFL and college football. A spring schedule might work better. And sorry Arena football doesn't do it for me. It's too much like watching basketball players wearing helmets.

I hope nobody feels like I'm attacking anybody personally, but I am just exercising my first amendment rights. After all, we live in the "Land of the Free"
