I've been telling people about the Action Simulation for MANY years. I can tell you that from my experience, it helps keep things "fresh".
Those aspects of MF can not be simulated how I want without "The Box". I am just "giddy" about having to play a season using the weeks and season ending the way that I want to. Can you imagine, creating the Super Steelers with players at 7 and 8 grams such as Joe Greene, Ernie Holmes, and Dwight White. Then you shake that box up and "Wham, DT (Joe Greene) out for 5 weeks". What a devastating blow to a team that put a lot of stock into this player!
Then, Dwight White gets a season ending injury which makes Pittsburgh have to put in light weights like Jon Banazak! Imagine the great Jim Brown, weighing 6 grams and terrorizing the league, gets hurt and now, "What does the Browns do?" Their second stringer weighs only 2.7 grams and you have to go with it!
Or imagine the great 1985 Bears losing Walter Payton for 2 quarters because of a hamstring pull! How devastating can that be to the Bears championship run.
Between injuries, penalties, and fumbles, this can be a lot of fun. I love the fact that now, I get to see about me. Do what I always wanted to do. And not be bothered. I get to stay up late hours and play when I want to and using the injury rules the way they were meant to be used.
Learn the chart and enjoy the chart. Trust me, it will make the game not boring anymore. And you will be able to talk about it to. And the guy that's listening will think you are talking reality!
