Default Got the DVD, vol 1

I got the video today and watched it tonight. Very well done and very inspiring! The figures look so awsome on video, even better then in the pictures. Showing all of those figures that you've customized is just so cool, especially when you had a lineup of unique QBs. I learned some new techniques and some nice all around tips, as well as reaffirmed some of my current techniques. I'm going to have to try the flame, as I've only used cutting so far. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to make customized players. Its so easy to customize these figures and they look so great when fully detailed that I'm seriously not going to have 2 players in the same pose again.

Here is my little tip for guys who like the FF figures:
For that center helmet rib I wanted to mention that I don't cut it off. Instead I brush on a few layers of clearcoat (before decals) in order to "grow" and "round" the helmet slightly to the point that the rib is not significantly raised. Then I decal the helmet stripe and add more clearcoat. I am very pleased with this look. I do like the look of cutting off the ridges on the jersies of the upper arm. Then apply double/triple paint coating in this area to get smooth look. Double/triple brushed on clear coat on this area further adds a nice smooth bicep. Lastly, I trim off the molded plastic facemask to make the look af a nose and jaw and it creates more spacing between the facemask and the figure's face. (see picture for results of these techniques)
